SUPERSTAR Class Notes

* Lunch is provided daily for all Preschool students

* Please label everything (clothes, shoes, bags, jackets, hats, etc)

* SHOW & TELL will be on Mondays; please have your child bring something that corresponds with our "Letter of the Week" (will be noted on the website and on the take-home calendar)

* Each student is asked to bring the following on first the day:

     *  two large towels,  snuggly blankets or crib sheet/blanket for rest time (our room is cool)

     *  a complete change of clothes (including underwear & socks) for accidents, spills or messes in a ziplock or other plastic bag

     * Journals - we will be working on Journals every Friday. The teachers will complete a page describing our week's activities and any reminders about upcoming events. Your child will draw a picture and dictate a story or an explanation and will bring home his/her Journal for the weekend. You are requested to complete the "Parents Page" and return the Journal no later than the following Tuesday. Feel free to use pictures, words, photos or drawings to comment on what's been going on with your child during the week. Keep it as positive and nurturing as possible - this will be a wonderful record of your child's year and an effective means of communication between classroom and home!

SUPERSTAR Snacks

Our class will have snack every day at 9:45am. I would prefer that everyone has the same snack and are requesting that each family send in snack for the whole class on a weekly basis. I will send home a calendar each month and indicate on the website the family responsible. Please let me know if this will not work for you. I will also note that week's Theme and ask that at least one day you send a snack that corresponds to that theme (example:  the letter of the week is "A" for the second full week of school; suggestions for snack are apples, jello jigglers cut into A's, animal crackers, applesauce, etc.) Snacks should be healthy in nature and include a fruit and one other item (crackers, cheese, pretzels, graham crackers, yogurt, etc). We will drink water with snack so there is no need to send in juice or other drink. We will also be cooking once a week so in lieu of snack I will request that you send in the ingredients for that day.  Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
