Spring 2008
Spring is in the air at the Atlanta Academy and we are excited to see the signs everywhere we look! Our upcoming Science units will cover the change of Season as well as Plants, Butterflies and Water. We will be participating in our school's Earth Day observance and our class will soon receive five caterpillers that we hope will metamorph into five Painted Lady Butterflies right before our eyes.
We will continue with the alphabet: U, V, W, X in April and Y & Z in May. We are also working on matching up the upper and lower case letters and listening for the beginning sounds in words. These kids definitely know what each letter sound is!
I am hopeful that we will have lots of good outdoor playtime now that the weather is warmer! We'll be having a "Vacation Day" during "V" week, a "Water-Play" day in "W" week and lots of other surprises as our school year winds down.
Thanks (again!) to our wonderful parents for always being willing to jump in and support this class. We couldn't do what we do without you!
